Supporting SOS Children´s Villages in Haiti

I helped organize donations for support of the SOS Children´s Village in Haiti. The country was hit by a devastating hurricane and a tsunami in January 2010. The tragedy is still in my mind and I am trying to involve as many colleagues as possible from the FedEx station in Dortmund, Germany where I work as a courier.

Many of my colleagues are committed to donating a small amount of money each month to regularly support the village in Haiti and we are working on becoming a “godfather family” for the village.

I am handling the entire project and enjoy putting a lot of energy, creativity and enthusiasm in informing my colleagues and arranging all administrational matters with the SOS Children´s Villages International association. Our help might only be a drop in the ocean – but it´s much better than to do nothing.
